A FEW FUN FACTS:
· Lake Mills received its name from a saw and grist mill that was discovered to be operating nearby neighboring Rock Lake.
· In 1866, the town was briefly renamed to “Tyranena”, an indigenous word meaning “sparkling waters” but soon after switched back to Lake Mills.
· The town itself is only the span of about 4.5 miles.
· Lake Mills hosts its own newspaper, “The Lake Mills Leader”, which puts out weekly issues for residents to enjoy.
