Community Highlight - Indianhead Manor

This week’s Community Highlight features Indianhead Manor, one of our northwestern communities. This community is located in the “Northwoods” of Wisconsin, in the quiet town of Chippewa Falls. This town may be small, but it has a fulfilling atmosphere and charm to it that makes it perfect for residents of all ages. For those interested in finding a place to raise a family or work on other personal projects, it is a great choice. Similar to other northern spots in the state, recreation opportunities are plentiful. Whether it be winter, summer, or any weather in between there is always something to participate in to pass the time. The Chippewa River and Lake Wissota are two bodies of water that greatly contribute to these outdoor activities. Rafting and fishing are common pastimes for those who enjoy being out on the water. If you prefer to stay on dry land, biking and hiking are also popular. In the winter months, miles of ski trails can be found nearby. Another popular tourist spot in Chippewa Falls is the Leinenkugel’s Brewery. The brewery is well-known across the state and has been offering tours and sampling to guests for years. Other popular spots across the city include wineries, local museums and the Irvine Park and Zoo. It truly offers an array of options for whatever your interests include. The community of Indianhead Manor is located just outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown Chippewa Falls. It is nearby a local river, making it a peaceful getaway from city life. The community itself is pet-friendly and is conveniently located nearby to the Chippewa Falls public schools, a district that holds an impressive status despite its small student body. If small-town life but great opportunity interests you and your family, consider Indianhead Manor as a perfect spot for your next home.

A FEW FUN FACTS:

· The city of Chippewa Falls received its name from its prime location directly on the Chippewa River.

· Chippewa Falls was originally created as an area to exploit the plentiful amount of lumber resources residing in that area, by the early European Americans.

· Leinenkugel’s Brewery originally opened in 1867, making it one of the only businesses in the state to survive such great upheaval in its industry, including the Great Depression and Prohibition.

· Oktoberfest is commonly held in Chippewa Falls, a popular event for the area.
