Our community highlight of the week is dedicated to the community of Forest Glen, which resides in the small seaport city of Marinette, WI. The city of Marinette is an ideal location for individuals and families of all ages because of its prime location. · Marinette was once considered the 10th largest city in the state, because of a large lumbering boom in the late 19th century that almost doubled its population.
· The city has before been named the “twin city” to Menomonie, MI because of its connection by just three bridges.
· Kimberly Clark, a major paper processing mill is located in Marinette.
· The city is home to many popular industries, including auto parts, paper making and shipbuilding.
